Visiting the Louisiana Museum in Humlebæk is always a delight. But today for the first time the cafeteria disappointed me…

After watching the Illumination exhibition and having a nice stroll through the house and gardens, my friend and I treated ourselves to coffee and shared a lemon meringue pie (aka tarte au citron).

Surprisingly we where not able to finish the cake between the two of us. The lemon cream was bitter in an off-balance way and tasted more of the white parts than of zest or flesh.

Oh well, that happens. But this lovely lady made us smile on the way home anyway…
